Question 1

What is ingestia.io?

Accepted Answer

ingestia.io is a complete Data, BI and AI platform. It centralizes data from ERP, spreadsheets, finance, CRM, databases and internal systems, automates pipelines in Bronze, Silver and Gold layers, lets you build complete dashboards in the native BI and puts artificial intelligence to work analyzing your company's information — all in a single platform, without building an entire data engineering team.

Question 2

Is ingestia.io a BI tool?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ingestia.io includes a complete BI, integrated with the data platform: dashboards with dozens of visualization types, KPIs, matrices, maps, filters, drill, a semantic model with measures, row-level security (RLS), alerts, exports, public sharing and embedded dashboards. And if you already use Power BI, Looker Studio or Tableau, you can keep using them: the platform delivers ready-to-use datasets for those tools via read-only connection, API and OData.

Question 3

Does ingestia.io replace Power BI?

Accepted Answer

It doesn't have to. You have two paths: use the ingestia.io native BI, integrated with your data and AI, or keep Power BI connected to the datasets prepared by the platform via OData/API — in that case the Microsoft license remains the customer's responsibility. Many companies use both.

Question 4

How does ingestia.io's AI work?

Accepted Answer

The AI works on your company's already organized data. You ask in natural language ("which product had the biggest margin drop this month?") and it queries the data and answers with numbers and charts — this is available on every plan. The AI Analyst, which generates scheduled executive reports, insights from dashboards, alerts and anomaly detection, is available from the Growth plan up. AI model usage is metered, with a monthly cost cap per workspace; the queries the AI runs on your data consume credits like any other query.

Question 5

Do I need to know how to code?

Accepted Answer

Not to get started. There's a visual wizard to connect sources and transform data without code. For technical users, there's a SQL console with more freedom. You can level up at your team's pace.

Question 6

Which sources can I connect?

Accepted Answer

Available: databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, BigQuery), files (CSV, JSON, Parquet) and Google Sheets. Limited access (use under the condition described on the connector page): Meta Ads (Facebook e Instagram), Google Ads, Omie ERP, Bling ERP, Conta Azul, Tiny ERP, NF-e (SEFAZ), Salesforce, HubSpot, Azure Blob Storage. Planned (not usable yet): Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage. The catalog at /conectores shows the status and condition of each source.

Question 7

What does "Limited access" mean?

Accepted Answer

The site uses three statuses. "Available": usable today, in the product's normal flow. "Limited access": exists, under the condition described on this page. The condition is shown on the feature's own page, before you use it. "Planned": not delivered yet — can't be used today. No planned feature is offered at purchase as if it could be used today.

Question 8

Do the site's images show customer data?

Accepted Answer

No. The screenshots come from a demo environment with fictitious data, and the captions say so. Where an image is an explanatory drawing rather than a screenshot, that's written on the image itself too.

Question 9

What are Bronze, Silver and Gold?

Accepted Answer

They're three data maturity layers: Bronze stores raw data, as it arrived; Silver stores clean, standardized data; Gold delivers modeled data, ready for dashboards, reports and APIs.

Question 10

Can I connect my data to Power BI?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ingestia.io delivers ready-to-use datasets for Power BI, Looker Studio and Tableau over a read-only connection, plus APIs and webhooks for systems and automations.

Question 11

Does ingestia.io replace a data team?

Accepted Answer

ingestia.io doesn't replace a full data department in companies that already need very advanced engineering. It delivers, as a self-service experience, what would normally require several tools and a team: connectors, pipelines, data layers, SQL, complete BI, AI, APIs, governance and cost control — from source to decision, without building an entire data team.

Question 12

How do the plans work?

Accepted Answer

They're monthly subscriptions — Starter (R$ 499), Growth (R$ 999), Business (R$ 2.490), Scale (R$ 4.990), Enterprise on request. Every plan includes BI, AI and Bronze/Silver/Gold pipelines; what changes is the scale: connections, BI creators and viewers, governance and security. Each plan comes with usage credits included in the monthly fee (from R$ 50 to R$ 1.500/month), and you can top up extra credits whenever you need.

Question 13

What's included in the monthly fee?

Accepted Answer

Access to the complete platform — connectors, pipelines, Bronze/Silver/Gold layers, SQL, native BI, AI — plus the plan's limits (connections, BI creators and viewers) and a monthly allowance of usage credits already included. Usage beyond the allowance is covered by extra credits, with continuous tracking.

Question 14

What are usage credits?

Accepted Answer

A single balance that covers processing, running pipelines, queries (including those generated by AI), storage and data movement. AI model usage itself is metered separately, with a monthly cost cap per workspace already included in the plan. You see each charge itemized, track the balance on the dashboard and get an alert when it reaches the threshold set in the workspace (20% by default).

Question 15

How do BI licenses work?

Accepted Answer

Each plan includes a number of creators (people who build dashboards, measures and models) and viewers (people who only consume). Need more people? An additional creator costs R$ 59/month; viewer packs cost R$ 79/month (+25 people) or R$ 199/month (+100 people). Dashboards published on the web are included in every plan.

Question 16

What happens when credits run out?

Accepted Answer

The platform warns you beforehand, when the balance reaches the threshold set in the workspace (20% by default). With no balance, processes and queries that consume credits stop running until you top up — your structure and settings remain.

Question 17

Do I get an alert before credits run out?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when the balance reaches the threshold set in the workspace (20% by default). There are also routines that warn about unusual usage.

Question 18

Can I change plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as your company's needs grow or shrink.

Question 19

Can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It's a monthly subscription; the conditions are in the Terms of Use.

Question 20

Is there a minimum commitment?

Accepted Answer

The standard model is monthly, with no long commitment. Specific conditions (for example, Enterprise) may vary according to the contract.

Question 21

Do you issue invoices?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Purchases are billed with an official invoice (nota fiscal).

Question 22

Where is the data stored?

Accepted Answer

On Google Cloud infrastructure, with the option to keep data in the São Paulo region.

Question 23

Does ingestia.io use Google Cloud?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The platform's infrastructure runs on Google Cloud.

Question 24

Can the data stay in Brazil?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Processing and storage can be kept in the São Paulo region.

Question 25

Can I use my own cloud (BYOC)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On the Business plan, your own cloud (BYOC) is available as an add-on; on Scale and Enterprise it's part of the plan. The datalake runs in your company's cloud project, with more control over billing, auditing and governance, and ingestia.io handles the operation.

Question 26

How does access control work?

Accepted Answer

By user and by area, with granular permissions for sources, datasets and queries, plus service accounts for machine integrations.

Question 27

Does the platform help with sensitive data governance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There are features to tag sensitive fields (PII), per-customer segregation, usage auditing and scoped, read-only access for external consumption.

Question 28

Is ingestia.io suitable for personal data?

Accepted Answer

ingestia.io offers features that support good security, governance and data protection practices, such as access control, per-customer segregation, service accounts, APIs and features for handling sensitive data. Responsibility for compliance remains with the customer.

Question 29

Where are connection passwords kept?

Accepted Answer

The pipeline definition uses a reference to the credential, not the password value. The reference is resolved at run time, with versioning, revocation and usage logging — and a credential from one workspace doesn't resolve in another. Today the credential reference resolves in one vault: Google Cloud Secret Manager. Other vaults aren't available yet. Basic connection protection is included in every plan; the advanced credential management add-on is quoted on request; basic connection protection remains included in every plan.

Question 30

Does changing the value in the vault complete the credential rotation?

Accepted Answer

No. Changing the stored value is one step; the rotation is only complete when the old credential stops working at the source — which depends on the source system, not the platform. That's why the change and the confirmation at the source are recorded as separate actions.

Question 31

Is the Data Structure Simulator free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's free and takes less than 3 minutes. No technical knowledge needed.

Question 33

How is the assessment calculated?

Accepted Answer

Based on your answers (sources, reports, frequency, team, security and usage), the simulator calculates a complexity level and recommends a plan. The costs of the traditional path are estimates for comparison.

Question 34

Is the estimated cost a commercial proposal?

Accepted Answer

No. It's an estimate for comparison purposes; the actual cost depends on data volume, sources, frequency, security requirements and governance level.
