BI frequently asked questions
Is BI included in the plans or billed separately?
It's included in every plan, with creator and viewer users according to the plan. To grow the team there are add-on licenses: creators and viewer packs — no need to change plans.
Do I have to give up Power BI to use ingestia.io?
No. The same curated data that feeds the native BI can be connected to Power BI, Looker Studio or Tableau with read-only access (OData/API). Many companies use both — native BI day to day, and the external tool where they've already invested.
Can non-technical people build dashboards?
Yes. Dashboards are built on a visual canvas by dragging visuals and picking fields from the semantic model — measures and business rules are centralized, so the right number comes already calculated. And you can ask the AI for help in plain language.
Can I control what each person sees?
Yes. Beyond per-user permissions, row-level security (RLS) filters the data inside the dashboard itself — each manager sees their region, each salesperson sees their accounts, on the same dashboard.
