Google Cloud Storage in your datalake (planned connector)

The Google Cloud Storage connector is planned and can't be used yet. Google Cloud Storage data can already come in today by export — and the rest of the platform (layers, BI, AI) works normally.

Planned: Pulling files from your own Google Cloud Storage bucket isn't possible yet: the platform rejects both setup and runs. Today the way in is to send the files to your environment's landing area.

The problem

Data that lives in Google Cloud Storage (Google Cloud storage) tends to stay isolated from the rest of the company. To analyze it alongside ERP, spreadsheets and other sources, someone exports and cross-references everything by hand — creating rework and risk of error.

How to bring in Google Cloud Storage data today

Until the Google Cloud Storage connector ships, data comes in through scheduled exports (CSV, JSON or Parquet) sent to your environment's landing area — and follows the same layers, BI and AI flow as your other sources. When the connector ships, only the collection step changes.

What you get

  • Google Cloud Storage data centralized alongside your other sources, by export for now
  • Scheduled ingestion at the frequency the business needs
  • Organization into Bronze, Silver and Gold layers
  • Dashboards in the native BI and natural-language questions to the AI

How ingestia.io helps
